The architect W.R.B. Wilcox designed the house to reflect the changing styles of the day. No small, dark Victorian rooms but rather large, light filled spaces with careful attention to details including built in benches, cupboards and built in chests of drawers in each bedroom closet. The oak and maple floors have been refinished and are decorated with Turkish and Persian carpets.
